Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union is a democratically run organization, controlled by our members. Our Board of directors is composed of volunteers from our membership, and each representative is democratically elected by our members.

SMCU offers eVoting to its membership

As you know, Principle #2 says that members call the shots. Voting for SMCU’s Board and Supervisory Committee candidates is one of the most important ways to let your VOICE be heard.

Now it is even easier for members to “call the shots” with an online voting service called eVote. This election site is secure and has the same level of privacy as if voting by mail. Voting will be held from February 15, 2010 at 12:01 AM Pacific Standard Time to March 12, 2010 at 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time.

SMCU offers eVoting to its membership

As you know, Principle #2 says that members call the shots. Voting for SMCU’s Board and Supervisory Committee candidates is one of the most important ways to let your VOICE be heard.

Now it is even easier for members to “call the shots” with an online voting service called eVote. Go to www.smcu.com and click on the eVote banner at the top to vote online (or just click that big eVote button at the top of this post). This election site is secure and has the same level of privacy and anonymity as if voting by mail. Online voting will be held from February 16, 2009 at 12:01 AM Pacific Time to March 20, 2009 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

SMCU offers eVoting to its membership

For the first time in its storied history, Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union will open the scope of its democratic member control to the World Wide Web. On February 15th, eVoting for SMCU’s Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee will commence, and will end on Friday, March 21st. This year SMCU is making it even easier than ever for you to “speak” and have your vote counted.

SPEAK campaign lets members design debit card

In December of 2006, Seattle Metropolitan launched a campaign entitled “SPEAK”, designed to encourage our membership to participate in improving a product offered by SMCU. We asked our membership one simple question, “Do you like the look of our current debit card?” The members voted and the response was overwhelming.
