What Little Things Do You Splurge On? Comment and You Could Win.

You’re in line waiting to pay for…

  • a ticket to the must-see movie of the month
  • a 20 oz., extra-hot, caramel macchiato
  • one of your favorite bands’ new album

…and you can’t help but to feel a slight twinge of guilt at the $5 or $10 you’re spending on a “want.” We’ve all been there.

So tell us: What are the little things you regularly splurge on that you wouldn’t like to give up? Leave your answer in a comment below by June 28, and you’ll be entered into a drawing to win a $50 coffee gift card.*

Dresses, I love buying dresses. I believe there’s a dress for every occasion and they are easier to shop for than pants. They make me happy and make me feel beautiful. It’s definitely hard for me to say no to a nice dress.

I have two things. First is good coffee, I like to brew at home or use my french press. We have had to buy super cheap coffee before, but I will cut every corner possible to make sure we have good coffee on hand.
I am also learning to splurge on hair cuts. I used to settle and say I could get a fine hair cut for $20 or less, but recently I got to experience a great salon that isn’t as high end as they get, but it was not somewhere that typically fits into what I budget. Now I’m planning my appointments with a great place that pampers me for a day and enjoying the simple pleasures. (They also give you free coffee during your visit :) )

I regularly splurge on coffee and never regret it!

  8. I definitely splurge on new tops/shoes once or twice a month. That would be majorly hard to give up!

People look at your hands/nails more than you realize.
I could do it myself, but that’s not a pampering splurge is it?

I love magazines. I can spend hours lost in magazines on a wide array of topics, from
    – ideas (Utne, Ode, Yes) to
    – business (Fast Company, Inc.) to
    – design (Dwell, Architectural Digest) to
    – food, photography, travel, tech, and “lifestyle”.

I like the layout, typography, photos…I even like some of the ads. I love print. I will never switch to reading magazines online. It’s just not the same.
