Members are again reporting fraudulent calls from someone who claims to work at the credit union. This time the call came from (815) 703-0000. The caller said that there was a problem with the member’s debit card and the account had been frozen. This call is a scam. If you receive such a phone call, hang up immediately.
As a reminder, if SMCU calls you for any reason, we will NEVER ask for account numbers, PINs or other sensitive information.
