We’ve had multiple reports from members who have received phone calls and text messages, claiming to be from SMCU, stating that the member’s debit card has been deactivated and to input their 4-digit PIN number to reactivate the card.
Please DO NOT respond to these requests. SMCU will NEVER ask for personal information such as your PIN number, account number, member number, or Social Security Number by phone, text message, or email.
