What does it mean when we say that Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union is “Inclusive”? It means that our membership is open to anyone who lives, works or worships in Washington State. More than that, membership is open to anyone related to a member by blood, marriage, adoption or domestic partnership.
Being inclusive also means that SMCU makes every effort to reach out to the underserved, and to offer options like Special Membership to people with imperfect credit or who may have had problems with an account in the past. We feel it is our duty to offer free financial advice and education, to help our members save, prosper and succeed.
That is why we have partnered with Bank on Seattle to connect people without checking and savings accounts to the affordable mainstream financial products and services that we have made available. We invite anyone in the State of Washington to call or come into a branch to learn more about the many options we offer.
