Tune into Holiday Magic on Dec. 9

On Thursday, December 9, News Talk 97.3 KIRO FM will be presenting a 14-hour radiothon to benefit Treehouse. The Foster Children Holiday Magic radiothon will be broadcast from 5am to 7pm. During that time, listeners can call in to make donations, which Treehouse uses to buy holiday gifts for foster children who might not otherwise have anything to open this season.

SMCU is excited to be the title sponsor of the Holiday Magic Phone Bank. In the spirit of cooperation and giving back to the community, SMCU volunteers will be donating their time to answer phones from 7 to 9am.

You can make a difference in the life of a foster child. All you have to do is call in to donate. You can also donate online or at any SMCU branch through December 9th.

The Holiday Magic radiothon has been a staple on News Talk 97.3 KIRO FM since 1988. This year’s guests will include Seattle chef Tom Douglas, former Evening Magazine host, John Curley, and many others. In addition, many of the hosts of popular KIRO programs will spend their time helping to raise money. There will also be live performances by Seattle band, the Moondoggies, and the Oak Harbor High School show choir.
